Molding Business Services was formed in 1998 by Terry J. Minnick, a 35-year veteran of the plastic processing industry and the former owner, CEO and chairman of The PRO Corporation, a large and well-known custom injection molder in New England. During his time at PRO, Mr. Minnick hired many consultants, but few of them actually understood the custom molding business. Minnick recalls spending his own time and money educating "me-too" consultants about custom molding.
Mr. Minnick created Molding Business Services because he felt that owners of small and medium-sized injection molders and other plastic processors neededsomewhere to turnfor industry-specific help and advice. Selling a molding business, filling a critical job opening and rescuing a company in trouble are unique events that require tailored expertise from outside the company, but inside the industry.
In early 2008, Joel Minnick joined Terry as a partner in the recruiting and placement side of the business. Shortly thereafter, Andrew Munson joined the MBS team to assist with the M&A portion of the business.
Since its inception, Molding Business Services has placed nearly 200 professionals with molders and processors all over North America and advised on well over 50 plastics industry M&A deals. We have also helped dozens of other companieswith turnarounds, work-outs andbusiness plans.
